Long Division

We are heading into a new math topic next week...Long Division.  It can be a challenging topic to to introduce and teach.  I like to go through my ideas and review what I have done in the past as well as some new lessons. I hope there are no tears...from the kids or me!!!!

  1. Partial quotients is my favorite (and the students'), but I call it Hang 7 because the bracket looks like a big 7.

  3. I tell my kids this saying: Does Mcdonals Sell Cheese Burgers(Divide, Multiply, Subtract, Check, Bring down) this has helped my class understand the process. Now they just need to "know" their multiplication and division facts
