Baby It's Cold Outside

We have been battling some very cold weather this week in New England.  We spent the week at out camp in New Hampshire and the heat was broken and we had a frozen water pipe.  Luckily we got both fixed and didn't have any damage.

I have always wanted to do the boiling water experiment and got my daughter's boyfriend to go outside for me.  AMAZING!!!!

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!!!  I have been going back to Weight Watchers and I love their new program.  I need to get back to the gym and get back into my routines.  I want make changes that will last.

 I love the "One Little Word" instead of a resolution.  Here is a great list if you need an idea.

My One Little Word for this year is INSPIRE.  I want to inspire my students, family and friends.

One Little Word

I had never heard of "One Little Word" until this year on someone's blog.  I absolutely loved the idea and shared it on my Facebook over New Year's weekend.  I had many friends leave comments and join in the fun.  One of my friends from school caught me in the office the other day and asked me to check out student's work outside her room. Amanda had her second grader's choose OLW and do a writing prompt with it.  I finally made the journey down the second grade hall today...as far away from my room as you can get!  It was worth the walk...her children did an awesome job.   I had to go back to my room and get my camera!

Mrs. Flynn had the kids cut their word letters out of magazines.  She had them put their words on their desks for daily reminders.  THanks for sharing Amanda Flynn!!!!!!  I love it!
