I had the kids make a flip book using the three categories. On the front of the flip book, they wrote the words, synonym, antonym and homophone and their definitions. On the inside, they wrote a sentence using a pair of words, with an illustration.

ReplyDeleteI have been working on each skill for many weeks. I taught homophones for four weeks with our spelling program and got into word meanings. I spent a week each on synonyms and antonyms.
