Easy as Pie- Author's Purpose

I love PIE!!!  I use this acronym all year with my students.  I refer to the posters during my reading and writing workshops.  The picture on the left is from last year and I added the PIE pans on the right this year.  I enlarged the letters on the computer and printed.  I added background paper and letters to aluminum pie pans.  I hang a lot of things on thick ribbon from the dropped ceiling.  I think they came out pretty cute.

Here are some free printables that I have found.

  1. Thanks for all the great freebie finds on P.I.E. I teach fourth grade too and it is one of the first things we teach. Your pie pans turned out so cute!

  2. Hi, I was trying to see some of your solar system activities. Most of the graphics or links have an X on them and I can't see them. Am I doing something wrong. There are also two graphics on this page, the Author's Purpose Graphic Organizer and the Pinterest projects aren't there, just an X.

  3. Hi Lisa, I don't know what happened to my photos. I started fixing them one day and realized it would be way too many! Click the link under the photos and it will bring you to a site.
